The “Culinary School Dream” Scholarship

The Culinary School Dream Scholarship exists to open doors for aspiring cooks who have the passion, discipline, and heart for food—but may not yet have the opportunity. Created in collaboration with the Institute of Culinary Education, this scholarship is about investing in potential, community, and the next generation of culinary talent.

Selection Process

Up to one (1) scholarship will be awarded, with a value of up to $44,094.39. The recipient will be selected by the Scholarship Award Committee based on the strength of their application as evaluated through a comprehensive rubric measuring growth mindset, work ethic, adaptability, passion for the culinary arts, clarity of goals, storytelling authenticity, community values, and financial need.

Applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

  • Mindset: Growth, Work Ethic & Willingness

  • Adaptability & Resilience

  • Passion for Culinary Arts

  • Clarity of Goals & Long-Term Vision

  • Storytelling, Authenticity & Communication

  • Community Orientation & Values

  • Impact & Financial Need

The selected recipient will be contacted directly and announced publicly through stevenmotocooks and Institute of Culinary Education platforms.

Applicants may be contacted during the review process for additional information as needed so please provide a commonly checked email address when submitting.

Rules for Submission

  • In addition to answering the required questions on the scholarship entry form, applicants must submit a high school or college transcript indicating a GPA of at least 2.5. The Culinary School Dream Scholarship is open to all applicants, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or any other protected characteristics.

    To apply for this scholarship, complete the scholarship entry form between December 22, 2025 and February 8, 2026. 

    Applicants must:

    1. Satisfy the entrance requirements for the Institute of Culinary Education. (Applicants must be a high school graduate. Those with international documentation must have an official certified translation indicating that the student completed the equivalent of at least a secondary school in the U.S.A.)

    2. Complete the Culinary School Dream Scholarship entry form in its entirety before February 8, 2026, including photo and video submission. The entry form can be found here: https://form.typeform.com/to/GbYYfp8t
